We had planned the 10:57am missing man formation fly over the Abilene Veterans Cemetery and pulled that off right on time to literally the second, but a pretty large heavy rain shower/cell spitting out some lightning not too far east of us caused us to not continue on to our second missing man flyover location in Merkel Texas. We decided as a flight to return to Abilene Regional Airport and cautiously respect the weather. Thank you to Connie Carroll, and Jessica Randall for the ground videos at the Abilene Veterans Cemetery and thanks to pilots Bobby Richardson and Tyson Bradley flying as #6 chase photo aircraft for the inflight video. Big Country One Formation Flight Team flew a missing man flyover the Texas Veterans Cemetery at Abilene Texas at 1pm today to honor the life and service of US Army Vietnam Veteran Guadalupe P. Madrid, then flew over the Love & Care Ministries Mission Thanksgiving Drive 2025 hosted by Arrow Ford and supported by 106.3 The Raider radio station. The flyover was a dedication to all those involved including soooo many volunteers!! The flyover was at 1:06 and 30 seconds as a tribute and a thank you to 106.3FM for their live broadcast on site.
