Just wrapped up our Redemption Package on this 2026 4Runner, then locked it all in with IGL Elixr ceramic coating.

Here’s what went into it:
🔹 Paint decontamination — stripped away embedded grime, tar, and iron particles the wash alone can’t touch
🔹 1-step polish — cut through light swirl marks and oxidation to bring the gloss back
🔹 Gloss restoration — this is where the paint goes from “clean” to “wet-look”
🔹 IGL Elixr ceramic coating — a multi-year layer of SiO2 protection over that fresh polish

Headlight restoration: sand and polish, or you're wasting your time.

Every week somebody asks me about toothpaste, bug spray, some "magic" spray off TikTok or reels they see on Facebook for hazy headlights. It's all bu****it.

Headlights go cloudy because UV breaks down the clear coat on the plastic lens. That damage is physical. Toothpaste is a weak abrasive — it might scuff off a hair of haze if you scrub forever. Bug spray "works" because the solvents are aggressive enough to melt the plastic slightly — you're not cleaning it, you're damaging it into looking clearer for a minute. Neither fixes anything. Both fade or get worse within weeks.

The only way that actually works:

1. Sand it down. Wet sand through progressive grits to strip the oxidation and get to clean plastic.
2. Polish it out. Machine polish to bring back real optical clarity.
3. Seal it. A UV-resistant coating locks it in so you're not back here in 3 months.

Skip step 1, you're just polishing haze into shinier haze. Skip step 3, the sun starts the clock over immediately.

These before/afters are the difference between doing it right and doing it with stuff from your kitchen cabinet.

If your headlights look like the "before" pics, stop with the home remedies and get it done right the first time.

Most people wash their car and call it detailed. That’s maintenance, not correction.

This Range Rover had swirl marks and flat, dead gloss baked into the clear coat from years of improper washing. Washing doesn’t fix that — you have to physically correct the paint.

So we decontaminated it, then 1-step polished the entire exterior to cut those swirls out and bring the gloss back to life. Then sealed it with a 6-month ceramic sealant to lock the finish in and make it easier to maintain going forward.

Polishing is the difference between paint that looks ‘clean’ and paint that actually looks new again.
