We're hiring!

LDWF is excited to announce a new position in Education and Outreach!

We’re looking for an 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝟰 to help lead our non-traditional Wildlife Management Area (WMA) user programming and support Education and Outreach school initiatives across the state.

This position will connect with non-traditional WMA outdoor user groups and professionals across Louisiana to build partnerships and create new public programming opportunities in activities like hiking, kayaking, foraging, birding, and other opportunities on LDWF-managed properties. The position will also help increase public exposure to LDWF’s education, species, habitat, and outdoor recreation programs.

In addition, this position will serve as the Education Consultant for Education and Outreach school initiatives, working with staff, schools, teachers, and partners to help develop, coordinate, and expand conservation education opportunities for Louisiana students.

If you’re passionate about conservation education, love talking with people and building relationships, enjoy working with schools and communities, and have fresh ideas for connecting people to Louisiana’s outdoors, we want you!

Sorry for the late post.
Someone just called to see if we were open.

We are closed today, Monday, September 7th in observance of the Labor Day Holiday. We would like to wish you all a Happy and Safe Labor Day! Every year that I worked for my dad he would always ask me history of the Holiday. We both loved history and science. I can hear our conversation now, Pop would say" labor means work, to perform, so we will work." I would then say, "Pop it's a National Holiday, even Kent is off." Pop would say, "Then we are off." Wonderful memories 💙💛💜🇺🇸

Make those memories with those who mean the most to you, because tomorrow isn't promised.

WIshing everyone a safe Labor Day ❤🤍💙🇺🇸
