The car is off the rotisserie for work on the front end. We will put it back on the rotisserie to start sand blasting for the the under body and floor mainly before priming and painting the uner body.

It is time to finish the front end look; this will include the fenders, front bumper and lights/lights brackets test fitting.

End of year will be coming in early for this project....

MORE THAN 207 PATCHES ARE TO BE MOLDED ..... MOLDING PATCHES FROM SCRATCH WITH NO HELP OF MACHINES IS ONE OF THE KEY ISSUES FOR RESTORATIONS OF CARS IN OUR LOCAL AFRICAN SETUP GARAGE....BUT WITH NO MACHINES TO SHAPE AND MOLD WE STILL MAKE IT IRRESPECTIVE OF THE NATURE OF THE TASK AT HAND.....WE CONTINUE....

Last weekend was about starting the main job and that is non other than the full body root replacement. the body shell will need more than 207 molded HARD sheet metal patches to replace the rooten parts/sections. doors, hood, boot and other exterior parts sorted and hopefully by end of OCT a fully restored shell will be at displace.....

keep watching the space for the finished body shell.

REAR SUSPENSION AND AXLE UPGRADES;

For this project there is need to upgrade the drive handling and braking system. This required looking for donor parts for this upgrade. A fully independent rear suspension and axle unit was sourced from a donor car to help upgrade the braking unit from drum to disc brakes, independent suspension system and finally a rear differential unit with better axle ratios than the standard solid axle.....

restoration for these units is ongoing .....

SINCE WE HAVE DONE A FULL INSPECTION, COMING WEEKEND WILL BE ABOUT HOW THE SHELL LOOKS AFTER FULLY STRIPPING THE UNDER BODY AND LOWER PANELS AS THEY CAN BE ACCESSED NOW. NEXT STEP IS A FULL STRIPE OF DUST AND PAINT ON THE LOWER PANELS AND UNDER BODY.

the main reason we had to gp on the rotiseerie was to be able to inspect and plan for the proper way to replace all rotten metal with ease. with the rotiseries we have a few weeks to repair our body shell with no much complictions as the welders and panel fabricators will access the enitre body shell with no strugle. by end of october we will have a properly restored body shell ready to start our restorations.

We raised and hoisted the entire chasis of pur project on the rotiserrie. this makes it easy to rotate the body i a 360 degree pattern which makes inspection and repair planning easy as it needs maximum two or even one person to rotate the body at any degree he wishes to carry out repairs on damaged bodies.
