*HOW TO MOVE ON A BODA BODA SAFELY*π΅ποΈ
*1. Avoid moving on a BODA* *BODA* first of all. It's not a Safe mode of transportation!!
I repeat, avoid Boda Boda as much as possible. Use taxi ππΊπππ or walk. πΆπ
*2. Board from referable* sources or stages for reference in Case of theft or assault.
*3. Assess the person taking u* in a micro second. Look at the ff.
- Degree of Sobernessβ
- Attitudeβ
- Sense of organisation & riding skillβ
If arrogant, dirty & seemingly drunk, ββ let them go politely.
This is your greatest "Golden Moment"
*4. Look out for Ridders with a passenger Helmet.* but in this Era of Covid, curry your own helmet. Once on, it shd be firm not loose.
5. Other Protective Gears;
You need a riding jacket, gloves, hard pants like jeans, knee caps, Safety shoes in addition to the helmet. Without them, any slightest fall will cause harm to your body. These are a must both rider & passenger.
*6. Be a co-rider.* At the moment of turning, u may indicate with your hand as he manuvours
- Inform of humps, sharp corners & other hazards which the rider may not be familiar with.
7. At the time of seating, tell the rider *"you* *do not want speed".* Let him know u want a smooth & responsible ride.
8. Once u feel he is over shooting, tap his shoulder & tell him to take it slowly.
- If your bike is over taking & u are not being over taken by others, it letilary means you are faster.
- If he is over using the horn then u are in trouble. ππHe is a dangerous rider.
- If he is on phone while riding,π΅π΅ u are in deeper trouble.
- If he is complaining about the riding & Driving of others, then you are in the deepest trouble. Because he thinks he knows it all.
9. *Seat upright* and not bent.
Seat "men style" even if u are a lady.
10. Do not curry items that go *out of alignment* of the bike horizontally. If u must, let be vertical.
11. If he doesn't seem to adjust speed, *get off & pay the equivalent or more* but remain safe then board another one. A double payment of 5k is cheaper than 6 months in the hospital if not in the grave of which these two are Very likely if u don't follow the rules.
12. *Watch out & be alert* of any dangerous situations and guide him accordingly. Never
give a BODA BODA π―% trust even if he looks organised.
14. *Avoid Whatsapp* , Tweets or doing mails. Avoid selfies π€³ avoid watching movies,
Avoid phone calls unless if they are urgent but the conversations shd be short.
15. Make sure your *legs are* *not hanging in space.* Place them on the passenger paddles firmly.
16. *Avoid more than two passengers* unless in emergency situations.
17. *Hold your self firmly* on the shoulders of the rider or hold on his belt.
18. *Avoid unnecessary conversations* with the rider. They are destructive.
19. Do not allow him to *Run Red* π¦ (jumping Traffic lights On Red π΄π)
Don't allow to be ridden on pavements & walkways.
*Finally* :
- Never Board a bike without a mirror.
- Never Board a bike without a Number Plate.
- It's better to move with money in smaller bills.
- Don't keep quiet π€π€π€¬when being taken badly. Remember God helps those who help them selves.
If he rides u well, Let him know about it or give him a Tip. π
Most of these guys are not trained well & inexperienced. why trust them that muchπ€
The numbers of victims in hospitals across the country are overwhelming & are a burden to an already constrained budget as a country. Taking resources that would otherwise have been used for other activities.
Most importantly, any harm on your body is painfulππ & medication costly too. Think of family & friends.β€οΈβ€οΈ
