Makini Road Safety Makini Road Safety is a non-governmental organization formed to promote road safety awareness in Tanz

In Tanzania, motor vehicles speeding have been a major factor for road accidents. We define speeding as exceeding the set speed limit and driving too fast. In our communities many people do not view adapting to speed limits and road safety guidelines as an important way to avoid crashes; in reality speeding is regarded as a factor in nearly one-third of all fatal crashes. We combine practical different methods for Road Safety awareness initiatives: educating community through our social networks, road safety video clips for drivers and pedestrians and Speed Reporting Application (MakiniApp) for passengers.
