With all the questions about tyres and the current inspection rush, it’s important to remember that this isn’t just about passing an inspection, it’s about safety for the entire road community.

Your tyres are the only contact your vehicle has with the road. Before any journey, especially long ones ,take the time to ensure they’re road ready.

These are some tips for your tyres:

1️⃣ Ensure all tyres are the same size and suitable brand/type for your vehicle.
2️⃣ Check air pressure regularly and inflate to the manufacturer’s or vehicle-specified pressure.
3️⃣ Inspect tyres after driving through potholes, depressions, or rubbing against pavements.
4️⃣ Be mindful of where you drive and park, rough surfaces can cause hidden damage.
5️⃣ Rotate tyres when necessary to promote even wear.
6️⃣ Ask your tyre provider for advice based on your driving habits, journey length, and terrain.
7️⃣ Keep tyres clean, especially around the valves and bead area.
8️⃣ Replace tyres when wear limits are reached don’t wait for failure.
9️⃣ Inspect rims for dents, cracks, or bends that can affect tyre performance.
🔟 Make tyre maintenance and replacement a planned part of your vehicle budget.
Safe tyres support safe driving and safer roads for everyone. 🚗🛣️

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! 🎄✨
May this season be a time to rest, reflect, and enjoy that much needed time with friends and family. Throughout the year, we make many commitments to others and work diligently to honor and maintain them; may this holiday be a moment to intentionally dedicate our time and presence to our loved ones.

May the peace of the Most High carry us through this season, and may His presence be with us, both on and off the road. Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and blessed holiday season. 🙏🏽🎁

Blessings 🙏

With the festive season 🎄upon us, this is a time when several factors can contribute to an increase in road traffic accidents. However, there are simple steps we can all take to reduce these risks.

Consider giving your vehicle a great end-of-year gift by ensuring it is road-ready for 2026. A full service, checking that your tyres🛞 and brakes are up to standard, changing worn wiper blades, and ensuring your lights and horn are working properly can go a long way, especially with changing weather conditions

As schools close and work may slow down, activity at home often increases. Rest is essential. Try to rest before driving, after driving, and take breaks during longer journeys.

Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs remains a major concern. If you plan to indulge, please stay away from the driver’s seat. If you are sober, remain alert, drive defensively, and always be mindful that others on the road may not be.

Overall, if you don’t need to be on the road, consider staying home. Designate a driver, plan your routes, stay updated on traffic and weather conditions, and most importantly, take care of each other.
Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and enjoyable holiday season. 🎄🚗🚕🚌🚚🛻🛵🏍️✨

Road signage and Markings are very essential for road users, but not only for regulatory purposes ,but also informational and most importantly safety , let's not assume or hope road users are expected to know.

The Ministry of Works and Transport continues to execute vital roadwork projects across the country, whether through constructing new roads or upgrading existing ones. While these infrastructure efforts are necessary

of Works and Transport Trinidad and Tobago , the work being carried out on the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway between Chaguanas and Chase village.

When rain falls the water settles on the new lanes being prepared and it runs into both the northbound and southbound lanes.

To prevent hydroplaning or skids in the event of emergency stops.

I recommend some measure be put in place to either have the water run on the center only or put an automated speed limit sign that can adjust the speed of traffic accordingly.

Blessings, whether heading back to school or back to work, we all rely on some form of transportation, regardless of the distance.

For Travelers:
* Be courteous to your drivers.
* Appreciate the journey. Even though you might be focused on your destination, take a moment to observe your surroundings. You might notice something interesting that your driver missed.
* Be mindful and engaged.

For Drivers:
* Prioritize safety. Ensure you're well-rested before driving. If you're feeling fatigued, it's crucial to postpone your trip.
* Be patient and understanding. Traffic delays are inevitable.
* Minimize distractions. Avoid using your phone, eating while driving, and getting sidetracked by other activities that compromise your focus on the road.
* Enjoy the journey.

For Pedestrians:
* Use designated walkways. Utilize sidewalks, overpasses, and crosswalks whenever possible.
* Obey traffic signals. Pay close attention to traffic lights and only cross when it's safe.
* Be aware of your surroundings. Stay alert to potential hazards and other pedestrians.

For Everyone:
* Safety first. Always prioritize safety in all aspects of transportation.
* Be courteous and considerate. Show respect to other road users, whether you're driving, walking, or using public transportation.

Safe travels and God bless.
