ANSA McAL (Barbados) Limited is supporting the educational journeys of employees’ children.

Tawania Hinds-Elcock, Marketing and External Affairs Manager, recently presented back-to-school vouchers to parents across the Group’s subsidiaries, whose children successfully sat the Common Entrance Examination and will be entering secondary schools in September.

As they prepare to begin this exciting new chapter, we congratulate each student on this important milestone and wish them continued success. At ANSA McAL, we are proud to support our people and celebrate the achievements of the next generation.

A new school year is almost here! 📚✏️

As students across Trinidad and Tobago prepare to return to the classroom, our focus this Back-to-School season is on helping more young people start the year with the essentials they need to learn and participate fully.

Through our partnership with the Arouca Youth Council, stationery supplies were distributed to students within the Arouca community, forming part of a wider ANSA McAL effort reaching children across communities throughout Trinidad.

This is Social Investment in action: working with partners on the ground to support young people and help create greater access to educational opportunities.

Youth remain at the heart of the impact we are working to create in our communities, while ensuring our efforts support SDG 4 - Quality Education and SDG 10 - Reduced Inequalities.

This Back-to-School season, our Social Investment efforts are helping students across Trinidad start the new school year with the supplies they need to learn and participate.

For two years, ABS has been hosting its Contractors Academy, an initiative designed to support the development of contractors, landscapers and other industry professionals through technical training and hands-on learning.

Following the success of Cohort 1 earlier this year, ABS recently welcomed 20 participants for Cohort 2 of the Allan Block Edition. The group gained practical knowledge in retaining wall design, site preparation and correct installation techniques.

This programme combines classroom learning with hands-on demonstrations, giving participants the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned and build greater confidence in using Allan Block retaining wall systems.

For ABS, the Contractors Academy is about more than sharing product knowledge. It’s about building the people who build our communities. These are the professionals behind our homes, businesses, roads and public spaces. Equipping them with the right knowledge and skills means better-built spaces and a stronger construction industry.

That’s what makes this initiative so important.

And just like that, our ILead interns are wrapping up their summer with us! 👋🏽

Each year, the ILead Programme gives university students the opportunity to step into the world of work, gain hands-on experience and build valuable professional skills beyond the classroom.

This year, 98 interns joined teams across the ANSA McAL Group, gaining experience across our Construction, Automotive, Distribution, Banking, Insurance, Beverage and Chemicals sectors, as well as at Group Head Office.

Over the two months, they became part of teams across the Group, contributing to real projects, bringing fresh perspectives and getting a closer look at the different businesses that make up ANSA McAL.

We’re proud to have been part of their journey and excited to see where they go from here! 🌟

Mission ShakthiSAT is the world's first all-girls satellite mission, with a bold long-term goal: reaching the Moon 🇹🇹🌕🚀

We're proud to support Kaitlyn Sahatoo, a Trinidadian medical student selected to represent Trinidad and Tobago in this extraordinary STEM initiative.

Kaitlyn departed for India on August 18, where she joined delegates from 108 countries for the programme's hands-on phase. She's currently helping build the mission's first satellite, a Low Earth Orbit satellite scheduled to launch on October 11, 2026, a milestone on the path toward the mission's ultimate Moon goal.

Education is one of our focus areas for social investment, guided by UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 on quality education, and covering Kaitlyn's airfare through Soroptimist International of Port of Spain, Mission ShakthiSAT's local partner in Trinidad and Tobago, is one way we're putting that into practice.

Supporting Kaitlyn's journey means helping her access leadership and mentorship opportunities on a global stage. It's how we help shape the next generation of female leaders.

Proud to highlight the work of our Sectors and Subsidiaries:

Thirteen years after its first donation, ANSA Coatings has returned to the Learning Is for Everyone Centre (Life Centre) with another donation of Sissons paints to help refresh its new space and support the important work taking place there.

From classrooms and a computer lab to a gym and sensory room, these spaces play an important role in helping students learn, develop and thrive. Through this donation, ANSA Coatings is showing its continued support for youth development while helping to create a refreshed, welcoming environment for the Centre’s students.
