Mental health matters at every stage of life, and starting these conversations early can make a lasting difference.

Recently, through our partnership with the Heroes Foundation Development Programme (HDP), we were at Marabella South Secondary School for a “Behind the Smile” talk show segment, where students led a youth-focused discussion encouraging open dialogue around mental health and verbal bullying through guided, relatable conversation.

As part of the activation, the “Say it with your Chest” Suggestion Box was also launched, introducing a confidential space within the school for students to anonymously share concerns related to mental health and wellbeing. These submissions will support ongoing guidance and care within the school environment.

Together, these initiatives helped create safe and accessible spaces for expression, reinforcing the importance of listening to what may not always be seen.

Young people deserve to be heard, understood, and empowered so they can grow into confident, capable leaders of tomorrow. Through initiatives like this, that is exactly what we are investing in and actively enabling.

A powerful moment that captured the true spirit of excellence. ⭐

At the 2026 Anthony N. Sabga Awards, Caribbean Excellence, Laureate Dr. Niven Narain announced that he will dedicate his US$35,000 award toward establishing a foundation focused on women's health in Guyana and the United States.

His vision begins with Women's Health on Wheels, an initiative designed to bring mobile medical services directly to working mothers, particularly single mothers.

In an extraordinary show of support, our Group Executive Chairman, Mr A. Norman Sabga, immediately pledged to match Dr. Narain's donation, helping turn a personal commitment into a growing force for impact.

This is what the Anthony N. Sabga Awards are all about: celebrating individuals who use their success, expertise, and influence to drive positive change across the Caribbean and beyond.

Proud to highlight the work of our Sectors and Subsidiaries:

Colour, care, and community continue to be at the heart of BERGER Paints Jamaica’s recent initiatives across the island.

Through a series of ongoing community partnerships, BERGER has been helping to refresh and uplift shared spaces, reinforcing the role of colour in creating environments that inspire, restore, and bring people together.

At the Maxfield Park Children’s Home, BERGER supported a mural project that brought new life, creativity, and warmth to the space, helping to create a more positive and engaging environment for children and staff.

In Ocho Rios, as part of Labour Day activities, BERGER partnered with the Urban Development Corporation and community stakeholders to support town beautification efforts. This included the donation of road-marking paint used to refresh pedestrian crossings, kerbs, and sidewalks along Main Street, contributing to a cleaner and more welcoming public space.

More recently, BERGER also supported improvements at the Hunts Bay Police Station in St. Andrew, donating paint and coating materials to help refresh the facility as part of wider efforts to support civic infrastructure and community partners.

Together, these initiatives reflect a consistent commitment to community development and the belief that even small improvements to shared spaces can make a meaningful difference in how people experience their environment.

We are pleased to announce the leadership transition within our Distribution Sector, with Abdel Ali assuming the role of Sector Head, Distribution, effective June 1, 2026, succeeding Fazal Arman following his retirement.

After serving as Sector Head Designate since January 2025 and working closely with Mr. Arman to ensure a seamless transition, Abdel brings extensive industry experience, strong leadership, and a proven track record of driving growth and operational excellence.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Fazal for his outstanding contributions and dedicated service over the years, and wish him all the best in his retirement.
