Looking at this old newspaper clipping, I see a woman who had already spent eight years in the automotive industry and was taking a leap of faith from Toyota to Massy Motors.

It was a move I never imagined making, but Ryan T. Latchu (our then Corporate Manager and now Group EVP and CEO)saw something in me that I couldn’t yet see in myself. Here’s a simple rule I share with customers:

✅ Take your monthly income and multiply it by 40%.

The figure you get is the maximum amount you should have committed to ALL monthly loan payments combined.

For example:

Monthly Income = $10,000

$10,000 × 40% = $4,000

That means all your monthly loan obligations together should stay at or below $4,000.
