These fixtures form a key part of preparations for the Concacaf U-17 Men’s Qualifiers, set for next month at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.

BELLA 1 Update

BELLA 1 (IMO 9230880) has not been seized, the vessel now faces a different constraint: fuel endurance.

After 39 days in transit, and maintaining an average speed of ~11 knots, BELLA 1 is likely approaching the limits of her remaining fuel supply—estimated at another 28–35 days, unless speed is reduced. A slowdown could occur if any active U.S. Coast Guard pursuit is discontinued.

Given these constraints, the most plausible routing would be southeast toward South Africa, allowing eventual access to the Indian Ocean and onward to the Middle East. This route would also enable the vessel to remain dark on AIS for an extended period.

By contrast, both the Suez Canal and the Strait of Gibraltar are AIS-mandatory zones, significantly increasing detection and interdiction risk.

🇺🇸🇻🇪🇨🇳🇷🇺⚡ VENEZUELA | SANCTIONED TANKER MOVEMENTS

Two days ago, the Russian shadow tanker HYPERION, under U.S. sanctions, entered Caribbean waters, departing the UMBA Offshore Terminal (Murmansk) and heading toward Jose Terminal, Venezuela.

Meanwhile, the Chinese shadow tanker GALAXY 3, also under U.S. sanctions, was scheduled to depart Jose Terminal yesterday for China but remained anchored within Venezuelan waters despite being suspected of carrying at least 4 million barrels of Merey 16, Venezuela’s highest-grade crude. The vessel has previously transported illegal Iranian petrochemicals.

This evening, a Chinese VLCC departed Venezuelan waters under es**rt by the Venezuelan Navy.

Escalating movements of sanctioned “shadow fleet” tankers point to growing pressure and risk around Venezuela’s oil exports.
