Again something different on the channel! 🙂

In this one we'll be reviewing this super convenient budget friendly vehicle diagnostic tool called Anyscan (A30M) made by XTools.🛠️🖥️
I'll take the chance of having a modern vehicle on my hands (Citroen Jumpy) and do a quick comparison between older style laptop diagnostics Delphi and Autocom and this up-to-date little unit.📳

We'll go through unboxing to application setup, connectivity protocol and of course scan for trouble codes ⚠️

Let's see just how helpful this Anyscan tool can be!

Alright, something different this time! 🛵😄

In this one we'll talk about this interesting 1970 Honda DAX ST50 mini bike with a twist. 🤭

Someone has fitted a TOMOS APN engine on it!😅

1.8 CVH Engine! 🍋🍋🍋

This has to be one of the least desirable retro Ford engines out there.

Despite the displacement advantage over the 1.6 CVH version, notorious for its weak tuning potential and trouble-prone top end. 🤷‍♂️

This one came out of a Ford Sierra and it's well on its way out. We'll be using it for "scientific research purposes". 🧨😁

Has anybody had a good experience with these engines? 🤔🙂

Moving on with the multiple Ford Es**rt Barn Find 🫡😁

So far, we've brought a couple of cool Mk2s and some nice 4 door Mk1s.👍🧨

But now it's time to get serious.😏

We're getting to the juicy part of the Es**rt lot deal and this one
sure is a highlight catch! 🤩

Join me on the (not so easy) task of getting the ol' clunker home and take a closer look at this long forgotten beauty!😍

Alright, alright! 😎
Pushed the pace a little and managed to get the Mk1 Es**rt driving on its own steam! 💪🙂

These cars really are nice and simple to work on, a great testament to old school practicality! ⛏️🫡

They sure don't make them like this anymore! 😁

FINALLY managed to paint the Mk1 "Smurf" 1300 GT Es**rt !😊

Some itsy bitsy details to fix but super happy with how it's turned out! 🤩

Next one in line in our multiple Ford Es**rt barn find is this unfortunate MK1. 😄
It has been quite severly crashed and rolled over, which has deformed the chassis "a little".🤷‍♂️

Anyways, we'll pull it onto the Iveco Grinta recovery truck, take it home and see what we can do. 🙂

Maybe go for a test drive too? 😉

Oops, got a little carried away with "Research and Development" here!🤭

What started as a gearbox adapter kit for big ole V6 Cologne engine that I designed to use a BMW ZF gearbox in my racing Sierra, has now directly carried over to an ultra versatile adapter for the more common Ford engines!🔵🔥

The adapter in the making will make fitting BMW ZF/Getrag gearboxes (5 or 6-speed) to 4 cylinder Ford engines a breeze.🍃😊

This one will fit : Pinto, Zetec, DOHC, YB Cosworth, hell, even the old Crossflow (Kent) engines! 😎

The kit uses the Ford flywheel (has to be drilled and tapped) and BMW clutch (friction plate and pressure plate) so it's a great clutch upgrade too!👌

There will be cable and hydraulic clutch option available, as well as multiple starter motor options (DOHC & YB) all on one adapter plate!

OK, in this one we'll be picking up another pair or Mk2 es**rts.😇
These two have been crashed in the past and have been resting still for a while now. 🛌😴
Can we save them both? Can we save at least one?🤔

Well, it doesn't matter! We have to get them home anyways.😄

New ADAPTER PLATE for the mighty Cologne!😎

You might remember I've designed these to fit older BMW diesel gearboxes to the beloved Cologne V6 engine.

I'm happy to say the kit works great and we've counted quite some succesful installs already.👌

But now it's time to widen the gearbox selection even further! 🌎

Some people have had concerns about the gearing on ol' diesel 'boxes, so now I've made an adapter kit for gasoline ZF and Getrag transmissions too!✅

The one installed in the picture comes off a BMW 116i (GS6-17BG), which is the lightest 6-speed version you'll find, but this adapter will make fitting every transmission (5 or 6 speed) with this sort of bellhousing pattern (see pictures) a very simple job. 😉

You'll find such gearboxes on all the gasoline powered BMW E46,E39,E81,E87,E90,E91 etc.

The kit uses the original ford flywheel (has to be drilled and tapped), BMW clutch and pressure plate (self ajdusting👌), so it's essentially a great clutch upgrade too (same clutch kit is originally used on BMW 3.0d engines (up to 560Nm stock!)).
