The CarScan method has been used successfully for a long time in aviation for the inspection of vital, heavy-duty parts of aircraft and for quality assurance in various production processes. The CarScan method is based on active thermography method. We are stimulating the surfaces with a high-impulse flash (measurements between 0–500 microns) and halogen spotlights (measurements over 500 microns)
in a connection with an ultra-sensitive IR camera for capturing the data.
Together with a special software, we "display" the results of your vehicle’s measurements in a format that is understandable to anyone. The report separately shows data for changes of material structure in two stages (upto 500 microns and over 500 microns). The darker the colour in the picture, the
thicker the structure of the measured material. Based on the colour display, you
can determine the extent of damage and repairs done on the vehicle.
