πŸ‘€ Perhaps its time to review if you are familiar with how well protected are you when an incident happens.

We have prepared 5 basic questions to know and can prepare yourself better for any circumstances! Key pointers to summarise these questions below.

1. Know your Insurance coverage πŸ“–
There are 3 types of coverage: Third Party Only (TPO), Third Party, Fire & Theft (TPFT) and Comprehensive. Each coverage are quite different and should be part of your consideration during your purchase and budgeting.

2. Motor Insurance claims πŸš—
Claims can be categorized into 3 types.

(1) Own Damage claim is usually done for a claim on your own motor insurance for your own car's damage. This is only available for Comprehensive coverage and should be done in Authorised workshops unless "Any Workshop" option is bought. This options brings more flexibility and convenience to do your repairs in your preferred and trusted workshop. There will be an excess to pay based on your policy.

(2) Third Party claim against other parties' insurance involved in the incident, usually done for cases where other(s) has contributory negligence to you. It does not matter which coverage you are on. In such claim, once you do the reporting of the incident to your Authorised workshop, you may proceed to do the claim with any workshop of your preference.

(3) Windscreen claim is for Comprehensive coverage and claim details and relevant excess will be found in your policy.

3. Excess payable ‼️
Your excess payable will involve Own Damage claim and windscreen claim. There are no fixed standard rate and depends on insurer and premiums. Note that young and inexperienced drivers may also further incur additional excess charges!
