The Yokohama Advan Neova AD08R Tyre has been developed to be Yokohama's fastest road tyre
The AD08R supercedes the previous Advan Neova AD08, using improvements, based on feedback & listening to racers and enthusiasts like you and I!
The new AD08R is marginally heavier (about 0.5kg in 18" sizes) then its predecessor, though its still the lightest of the top 3 trackday / sports tyre favorites (Bridgestone RE11A & Dunlop Zii which have gone lighter then their precedessors).
Tho visually similar, the AD08R features a revised compound for greater dry weather performance whilst retaining its wet weather control, a revised sidewall structure, hence the weight increase for greater cornering performance, less sidewall deflection (therefore running cooler on track) and also therefore more resistance to flat spotting, (something we experienced with the older AD08 with its softer compound)
Optimal tyre pressures: I have yet to test the tyre properly on track, but I welcome feedback from customers, preferably those who have tested the Dunlops and or the Bridgestones too.
As for prices, the initial prices we have seen are extremely competitive, closer towards the Hankook RS2 range, perhaps this hopefully help Yokohama take back some market share, that it has lost this year to the Hankook RS2.
