Porsche Macan owner sent us a message: AWD fault warning appearing every cold start, disappears after the car warms up. And a knocking sound when turning slowly at low speed, like in a car park.

We put it on PIWIS first. Rear ABS sensor confirmed faulty, which is why the AWD system was falling back to rear-wheel drive on cold starts. Then we put the car on the lift and checked the front end.

The front driveshaft was leaking. When the CV boot cracks, grease escapes and the joint starts to wear. That is where the knock comes from when turning. The front absorber covers were cracked. The engine mount bush had collapsed.

Full job over two days at 112,560km: driveshaft and CV joint, rear ABS sensors (both sides, original), front absorbers (original), engine mounting set (3 pieces). Plus a service: oil, throttle body clean, brake fluid. Total $5,658.19 with GST, itemised and approved before we touched anything.

Sludgy brown oil in your engine is never a good sign.

This Skoda Octavia came in with an overheating complaint. The oil in the engine port looked like caramel. Coolant was mixing where it should not be.

We stripped the front end completely. Radiator out. Every coolant hose replaced. Thermostat gone. Engine oil flushed and replaced. Timing belt done while we were already in there. Brakes sorted too.

The car left with a clean cooling system, a new timing belt and fresh brakes. One visit instead of three.

Your Porsche Macan is hiding things you can't see on a daily drive.

At 55,249km, this Macan came in looking clean. The oil was overdue. The throttle body had built up enough carbon to affect response. Brake fluid was past its change window.

We ran through everything in one visit. Motul 300V oil, throttle body cleaned, brake fluid replaced. PIWIS confirmed the PCM Oil level is correct before it left.

A Lexus IS F-Sport with dead absorbers is not an IS F-Sport anymore.

This one came in with a ride that had been getting progressively worse. Harsh over bumps, bouncy, the SPORT and COMFORT modes barely making a difference.

All four Lexus AVS absorbers were worn out. These are the electronic adaptive units that make the F-Sport handle the way it does. Once they go, no software can fix it.

We replaced all four with genuine Lexus OEM AVS units. New strut top mounts too. Road tested before handover. The difference was immediate.

That vibration in your Mercedes GLC is not something to get used to.

When your car needs multiple things at once, sorting them in one visit saves money and time.

This Mitsubishi Outlander came in with a knock from the front and worn brakes. On the lift we found both CV driveshafts worn out, the radiator deteriorating, coolant hoses hardened and brakes past their limit on all four corners.

We replaced both driveshafts, the radiator, all the hoses and the brake pads and rotors. Finished with a 4-wheel alignment. One car, one visit, everything sorted.

Knock from your front suspension? Do not leave it. A worn CV shaft can fail completely on the road.
