🚘 BMW F46 216i – Sudden Loss of Power & Drivetrain Warning!
Ever experienced your BMW suddenly losing all power out of nowhere, only for the warning light to disappear after turning the engine off and on again?
A customer brought in this BMW F46 216i facing that exact issue. When the Drivetrain Warning Light came on, the car had almost zero horsepower.
🔍 Our Diagnostic & Findings:
Upon scanning for fault codes, we traced the issue directly to the turbocharger. Inside the turbo, an internal flap was failing to open properly. When this flap gets stuck, the system goes into protection mode—cutting engine power immediately to prevent further damage.
Additionally, during our full digital safety check, we discovered that the right-hand side engine mounting bushing was cracked, which causes unwanted engine vibration.
🔧 Work Done:
After informing the owner, we proceeded with full rectification:
✅ Replaced with Refurbished Turbocharger
✅ Replaced Original Turbocharger Gasket
✅ Performed Vacuum Test (ensuring boost & vacuum lines are leak-free)
✅ Completed Engine Coolant Flushing & Refill
✅ Replaced Right-Hand Side Engine Mounting
✅ Replaced OEM Aircon Cabin Filter
Now the BMW is restored back to its full power and smooth, vibration-free driving condition! 🚗💨
