🏁 Åbytravets historia – Del 10: 2020-talet
Under pandemin arrangerades tävlingar utan publik – en ovanlig tid i Åbys historia. När publiken återvände fylldes upploppet återigen av den speciella stämning som bara trav kan skapa.
❤️ I april 2022 gick Olle Goop bort, en av svensk travsports allra största profiler och den kusk som präglat Åbytravet mer än någon annan. Senare samma år hedrade sonen Björn Goop sin fars minne på bästa möjliga sätt genom att vinna Åby Stora Pris med Moni Viking och Svenskt Mästerskap, Olle Goops Pokal, med Brother Bill.
🌍 2024 skrevs historia igen när Åby World Grand Prix kördes för första gången. Med s*x miljoner kronor i förstapris och seger för franske Horsy Dream tog Åby ytterligare ett steg ut på den internationella scenen.

During the pandemic, races were held without spectators. When fans finally returned, so did the unique atmosphere that defines Åby.
❤️ In April 2022, Olle Goop passed away; he was one of Swedish trotting’s greatest figures and the driver who left a greater mark on Åby Racetrack than anyone else. Later that same year, his son Björn Goop honored his father’s memory in the best possible way by winning the Åby Stora Pris with Moni Viking and the Swedish Championship—Olle Goop’s Cup—with Brother Bill.
🌍 In 2024, history was made once again with the inaugural Åby World Grand Prix, offering a first prize of six million SEK. French star Horsy Dream claimed victory, marking another milestone in Åby's international journey.
