Today i took the mk2 turbo to Cyklon AB to get the certificate to been able to pass the M.O.T 😊👌

Hopefully it is ready fo that in the next week 🤩

Golf mk2 turbo UPDATE!

The car is ready for the M.O.T 🫣😬

Kinda nice to finally be here 😌🙏

The last week I have fixed the last few things like:

*Built a proper mount for the passenger seat.
*Changed the windscreen
*RE-welded the downpipe and mounted a catalytic converter
*changed left side cv-joint cover
*fixed the shocks all around (all springs were loose when you lifted the car. Now it's some longer springs mounted. Thank you Jetta donor car that had coils to donate the springs) 😅👌
*changed the instrument cluster to a working one
*cleaned the new carpet for the car
*cleaned the inside and the outside
*drove a little longer test drive

Now it's just wait for the right time and go and get it approved for road use 🚗💨✌️😎

Golf mk2 turbo UPDATE!

Fixed a lot of small things tonight 👌

*Mounted the front numberplate
*Mounted a washer reservoir
*Mounted the horn
*Mounted some interior pieces
*Mounted the seatbelt for the passenger

Were getting closer 😝

And i have decided that i am going to register the car with all mods. So it will be road legal when I sell it 🥳

Golf mk2 turbo UPDATE!

Got my self a Jetta mk2 from a friend to take the parts im missing on the mk2 turbo..

The first bits was the hood hinges and hood.
To open the old matte black hood i needed to take it off completely 🙈🤣 because some fool had cut the brackets for the hood hinges. Why do you do that? 🤷‍♂️🤣

Then we mounted the hood-pin that holds the hood open on the passenger side instead of driving side because of the battery that was in the way.
Also mounted the wire and took away the old rally hoodlocks for the old hood and mounted the Jetta hood. Looks ok I think 😊👍 and the hood works like it should do on a standard mk2.

A lot easier to check the oil level now 🤣👌

I also modified the wiperarm because it was to short and didn't reach the top of the windscreen.

Then i took the front bracket for the passenger seat from the Jetta and welded it in place in the golf, because some fool had cut that too 🤮🙈🤣

Now it's time to fit the passenger seat in place 😎
Also some standard seat belts..

The "to do list" is shrinking 🥳

Loaded up the Golf mk2 to the trailer yesterday and took it with me to work today!

Now the wheel alignment is finished ✅️

Tight to fit the gear on to the wheels but managed to solve it with a bunch of zip ties 😆👌

Golf mk2 turbo UPDATE!

Mounted some new tires i had laying around, Michelin Pilot Sport 3. 215/40 17". Did fit when I adjusted the coilovers a bit! 🥳👌

Look at picture number 3, the old Toyo R888 tires from 2007 had seen better days 😅👍

Mounted a fire extinguisher 🧯

Mounted a gearknob from the A3 👍

And changed the oil dipstick pipe.. the old ones was missing 50% 😅🙈

Took the S2 to BSM streetmeet in Borlänge this evening 🥳👌

A lot of nice cars and people 🔥

The S2 drove like always 🤩✌️
