So, this is from my actual job at Aurobay Sweden.
One month ago today we competed in Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (Official Site) with our high performance engine installed in a Wolf GB08.
The whole project was to show what our engines are capable of, especially in the hands of a 5x European hillclimb champion: Christian Merli Fan Club and a very unique and fast race car.
We used a bone stock engine right out of the box from our engine plant in Skövde, Sweden 🇸🇪
Wolf added a dry sump system and fitted the engine to their car together with electronics from Syvecs Ltd. We developed the engine calibration ourselfs in Gothenburg over the last year with preparation and getting familiarised with the software. This spring we put the engine in engine test cells and created the base strategy. We even ran in oir high altitude test cell to prepare as much as we could.
After a great week and a half for my self it was finally time for race day.
Christian drove us to second place overall and fastest car with a combustion engine.
We were also awarded with Rookie of the year and we won our class: Unlimited.
The cool thing is that our car and powertrain package is fully available for anyone interested. Less money than a new GT3RS and way faster (much due to it being almost a third of the weight)
This business trip was something else for a petrol head 😊
