Mercedes 190SL restoration project gets closer to have the substructure elements with all reinforcements restored for middle and rear section where rust affected all the parts. We get closer to thw moment when floor panels will be installed so it will look more like a vehicle again. Also you can see the number of fixtures, brackets and reinforcements added to increase structure stability and accuracy of measurements while working on it.

A great step forward was achieved with first run under its own power on this Mercedes G-klasse W463 retrofitted witg OM648 and ZF8HP gearbox.
A lot of custom works to put this powertrain in the Gklass due to length limitations.
So we have: engine mounts, gearbox mounts, modified transfer case mounts to move it backward, airconditioning, intercooler, alternator bracket, exhaust manifold, exhaust system with outlet on passenger side (RHD vehicle), central and rear propeller shaft, cruise control, Baldur engine ECU, MaxxEcu gearbox ECU with Eclass W211 shifter, with communication through can bus implemented on this 1993 vehicle. Work on Mercedes 190SL continues with rear right and right reconstruction, handcrafting panels and reinforcement elements. As presented in this video, all cavities have extensive rust problems so all these elements will be remanufactured.

On our Mercedes 240d restoration project we also have to make some retrofit jobs which incluse some special improvements on the vehicle drive in our days. Among other extras we will also retrofit an OM617a, 300D engine with turbo, coupled to a 722.6 automatic transmission gearbox.
For this task we had to 3d scan the engine and gearbox and design the adapter fl**ge between them. First of all we 3d printed the fl**ge to check the design and then we manufactured it from 6064 Aluminum Alloy. As the posibility to convert any engine like OM616, OM617, OM617A, M110 and so on, to a bit modern transmission like 722.6 is a fair option for your daily driver, we offer this product for sale.

Mercedes W115 restoration.
This will include a swap from 240D OM616 with manual transmission to 300TD OM617a paired to a 722.6 automatic gearbox.

These pictures are representing some custom works carried on a retrofit project. Here was to retrofit the OM648 engine coupled to@a ZF8HP transmission to a RHD Mercedes G klasse W463.
Considering the overall powertrain length, with the long ZF8HP transmission and the 6 cylinder engine, was necessary to move the engine to the foremost position so there were needed transmission and engine mounts to be custom designed and fabricated. At the same time, being a RHD vehicle the exhaust manifold was designed to match the steering shaft and steering gearbox.
Also were designed new alternator brackets to be easy to use a classic alternator for easier match with the standalone ECU. At the same time, the vehicle will be retrofitted with AC system, using the original AC Compressor setup, only with new AC lines.

A few progress pictures for one of the ongoing projects, Mercedes 190SL. At this moment body is clear of all underbody sealant, primer or other materials so all affected areas and parts are exposed. Work will continue with rear section of body being remanufactured, involving all floor panels replacement.
