A page of the Solex history has been turned, it was restarted in 1993 with these products:

The MBK's machines used to create the Solex until 1988, were bought and used again in 1993 in Berettyóújfalu, Hungaria (200 Km from Budapest), by Cyclon. Then, in 1995, this company is bought by the french importer Impex Products, and until 1996, you could find some new S3800 in France, for something like 3990 F, but since the importer went bankrupt, it's running out of stocks. Today, the factory is running again, thanks to M. George SAFAR, who's done everything to be able to sell these mopeds all over Europe. This new solex was sold in black, white, yellow, silver and green (rolland garros frensh open). The goal for now is to sell at least 15 000 units for next year. The SoleX and VéloSoleX trademarks
On December 20th 2000, Impex has gained the exclusive world-wide right of the SoleX brand from Magneti Marelli for a period of 5 years.

This trademark ownership is not only worth for SoleX, but also for VeloSoleX and Solexine. This goes also for all the brands logos associated with the marks of this company. December 20th, 2000, the company Magneti Marelli France has signed a 5 year contract for exclusive world wide licencing of the SoleX trademark to Impex Hungaria (until dec 31 2005). In addition, Impex is ableto use the other marksand logos. Since December 2002, we knew that Impex Hungária Kft. was not producing any more SoleX, or was it producing spare parts. The depths of the preceding managers were too huge. The current owner and CEO of Cyklopress Kft., M. László Kis is also Hungarian. He wishes to continue the production of the 3800 and started the procedures for homologation. Discussions about the trademark were engaged with Magnetti Marelli. But it seems that the production is launched again from time to time to furnished the European market through the company Cyclopress SARL. For nearly 50 years, the Vélosolex has been a daily friend to million of motor-bikers around the world and particularly in France. The brand Solex and its flagship product still enjoy a very high level of awareness (+ 98 %*) and sympathy (+ 70 %*) among the French of every age and social categories. S3800 1996
Various reports evoked the project of a “return of Solex” from a certain Mopex company which does not have any right on the trademark and which intends to deceive the public. This company was condemned besides in first claim and in call for counterfeit of the Vélosolex mark. Further it has been forbidden to use the Solex trademark. Mopex does not have of any right on the trademarks Solex and Vélosolex, owned by Sinbar , which repurchased them in 2004 to the Company Magneti Marelli, subsidiary of the Fiat company. In agreement with Sinbar, the Groupe Cible prepares with the famous Italian designer Pininfarina and its engineering subsidiary Matra, the launching of a modernized version of mythic Vélosolex. The unique personality and sympathetic nerve which made the success of Vélosolex, will be preserved with its practical and economic aspects. Fans of mopeds and motorcycles and specially the Solex ones are invited to discover the prototype of the new Vélosolex during the “Mondial du 2 roues” exhibition, from the 1st until 9th of October, 2005, in Paris. In September 2005 a press conference will be organised to present this new Vélosolex prototype. The Italian designer Pininfarina will endorse the difficult task to renew the icone that has become the VeloSoleX.
