All sail handling is done from a deep, protected central cockpit, a key part of the design of all Kraken yachts. Winches, lines and controls are within reach, making the boat easy to manage even when the weather turns.

Kraken fits the Solent rig on every yacht because it gives a short‑handed crew more control and more usable sail options offshore. You get two full‑size headsails - a genoa and a blade jib - each doing the job it’s meant to do. The blade jib sheets inside the shrouds, so it holds its shape properly upwind, and the genoa can be cut for reaching without compromise.

The inner forestay runs close to the masthead, so the rig stays balanced and doesn’t need running backstays. Downwind, the two headsails can be set butterfly‑style, which keeps things stable on long passages.

It’s a simple, reliable setup that works across a wide range of conditions, and it’s easy to manage with a small crew. That’s why it comes as standard on every Kraken.
