OGDCL was cited by The Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) that the current gas reserves would only last 15 years if consumption stayed the same until 2030.

According to OGDCL, Pakistan's domestic oil reserves will run out by 2025 and its gas reserves will run out within the next 15 years.
