PMTF of Switzerland who is a renowned manufacturer of Machine Tools in the world. PMTF has been certified for ISO 9001. PMTF is a Unit of the Government of Pakistan.

PMTF is a precision and High-Tech engineering goods manufacturing enterprise in Pakistan, established in technical collaboration with Messrs Oerlikon Buhrle and Co. More than 50 Swiss Experts while working in PMTF trained the local management and staff i.e., engineers and technicians for about 3 years and transferred technical know-how regarding the manufacturing of sophisticated products in 1968.

Presently 85% of the business of PMTF comes from the private sector which indicates their confidence. PMTF is engaged in designing, manufacturing, assembly of Machine Tools, Automotive transmission components of tractors and buses, Traction Gears, for Railway, Marine Gear Box, Industrial Gears, Precision Gears, Pressure Die Cast items for Motorcycles and Cars, Special Products for Armed forces under the Command of Acting Managing Director Muhammad Riaz Moazzam. PMTF has all major production facilities like Conventional Machines, CNC Machining Centers and Turning Machines, CNC Lathe, CNC Milling, Manual Lathe & Milling Machines, Gear Manufacturing Machines, also having Computer Aided Designing and Manufacturing CAD/CAM facilities.

Pakistan's nuclear Scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan passed away at the age of 85 years in Islamabad after his health deteriorated, Aaj News reported on Sunday.

* Family of the iconic nuclear physicist confirms his passing, saying he had been in a critical health condition and was shifted to the ICU * His funeral will be offered in the Faisal Mosque later on Sunday
