How Heat Affects Tyre Life in Pakistan
High temperatures in Pakistan’s summers significantly accelerate tyre wear. Rubber compounds soften when exposed to heat, increasing rolling resistance and tread loss. Over-inflation or under-inflation worsens this effect. Tyres running 5–7 PSI below recommended pressure can heat up by more than 20°C during long drives, increasing the risk of blowouts. Regular pressure checks, especially before motorway trips, can extend tyre life by up to 25%. Parking in shade and avoiding long, heavy loads in high heat also help preserve tyre structure and tread integrity.
