HOLIDAY ADVISORY| WEDNESDAY, August 26, 2026 is declared a Muslim Legal Holiday in observance of Mauluddin Nabi or birthday of Prophet Mohammad S.A.W., pursuant to Presidential Decree 1083 otherwise known as Code of Muslim Personal Laws of the Philippines.

In a memorandum issued by the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos-Region 9, Regional Director Rhoaisa Matolo-Mukaram, JD said the holiday will be observed in the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sulu, Tawi-tawi, Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur, and in the cities of Cotabato, Iligan, Marawi, Pagadian, and ZAMBOANGA CITY, "and in such other Muslim Provinces and Cities as may hereafter be created."

The August 26 (Wednesday) Muslim Holiday is in addition to the holidays set on Friday, August 21 (Ninoy Aquino Day) and on Monday, August 31 (National Heroes' Day), based on Proclamation No. 1006 issued in 2025 by President Bongbong Marcos.

HOLIDAY ADVISORY| February 17, 2026 (Tuesday) is a special non-working day in the country in celebration of Chinese New Year, pursuant to Proclamation 1006 issued by Malacañang on September 3, 2025.

In addition, February 26, a Thursday is declared as a special non-working day in Zamboanga City based on Proclamation 1149 in line with the celebration of the city’s 89th Charter Anniversary or Dia de la Ciudad de Zamboanga.

On the other hand, February 25 (Wednesday), the anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, is a SPECIAL WORKING DAY in the country based on Proclamation 1006.
