Long lines at gas stations. Gas stations hiking up prices even before the expected "big-time" hike in oil prices next week. "Out-of-stock" signs at some gas stations as some customers allegedly resort to hoarding.

But, some netizens say, "maiba naman ang Petron!"

Petron and Seaoil were singled out as among the few gas station chains in the country that have yet to hike their prices two days before oil prices are expected to go up by as much as P20 per liter due to the ongoing war in Iran.

While there have been reports of gas stations hiking their prices by up to P80 or even P100 per liter, Petron's prices have remained at the P55 to P60 range as of March 7.

Netizens hailed the two gasoline chains' move as a "responsible move" amid the expected economic impacts of the big-time oil price hike next week.

While some businessmen have evidently given over to their worst instincts of taking advantage of the situation, they believe Petron has made the laudable move of putting the welfare of their valued customers first.
