WHAT TO DO WHEN THE LTO STOPS YOU (2026 Update!)

Did you know that under the new LTO guidelines, your physical driver's license will NO LONGER be confiscated during a standard apprehension? 🤯 Instead, your record will simply receive a digital "system alert."

👮‍♂️ ON THE SPOT:

1. Stay Calm & Pull Over: Move your vehicle safely to the side of the road.
2. Listen & Provide Docs: Let the deputized enforcer state the violation, and hand over your Driver’s License and OR/CR for verification.
3. Accept the Ticket: Receive your Temporary Operator's Permit (TOP) or Traffic Violation Receipt (TVR).

💻 SETTLEMENT PROCESS (Mind the Deadlines!):

1. Check the Portal: Log in to your LTMS account (portal.lto.gov.ph) to view the specific violation and fine.
2. Pay Within 15 Working Days: Settle it online or at an LTO office. Once paid, the system alarm is automatically lifted!
3. ⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: Missing this 15-day deadline will trigger an automatic 30-DAY LICENSE SUSPENSION!
