March saw the Philippine automotive industry exceed 39,000 units in total sales, lifting Q1 performance to around 112,500 units based on data from Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. and Truck Manufacturers Association.

Of the 36,104 sales, the xEVs surged to 6,148 units, nearly doubling month-on-month and accounting for 17% of the market. Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. led with 17,622 units, followed by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. with 6,239 units. Suzuki Philippines Inc. (1,694), Nissan Philippines, Inc. (1,491), and Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (1,488) completed the top five.
