To mark the 50th anniversary of Honda’s first production motorcycle for motocross – the 1973 Honda CR250M Elsinore – the company released the 2023 Honda CRF450R for the 50th Anniversary Edition.

The Honda CRF450R 2023 50th Anniversary Edition has the same updates that will be implemented in the new CRF450R, CRF450RWE, and CRF450RX racers. Let’s take a look at them as well as what sets the 50th Anniversary Edition apart.

What’s new?
The engine has been refined to produce power more smoothly and add a bit of torque.
The muffler was amplified.
Honda has changed the thickness of the frame in unspecified quantities and locations.
New engine mounts have become steel, replacing aluminum mounts.
With the revised frame stiffness and new engine mounts, additional changes are being made to the Showa suspension.
