Art has the power to tell stories, inspire dreams, and capture the journeys that shape our lives. Building on the success of its inaugural art competition, Jetti proudly launched the second year of its student art contest with the theme Byahe ng Kapalaran. The competition invited young Filipino artists from across the country to explore the idea of destiny, life’s journeys, and the paths that lead us toward our aspirations through the language of art.
Once again, the response from the student community was overwhelming. Talented young artists submitted remarkable works that reflected their unique perspectives on life’s adventures, challenges, and opportunities. Through vibrant colors, compelling compositions, and creative storytelling, each artwork offered a glimpse into the personal and collective journeys that define the Filipino experience.
The competition was honored to have Mr. Douglas Dumanon II as judge—a distinguished professor from De La Salle University, a practicing artist, and a respected member of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) since 1999. Drawing from his extensive experience in the arts, he carefully evaluated each submission based on Creativity, Impact, Quality, and Originality, while considering how effectively the artworks embodied the spirit of Byahe ng Kapalaran.
