LOOK: AYALA LEADS PH FIRMS IN TIME AND STATISTA’S WORLD’S BEST COMPANIES 2025

Ayala Corp. leads the Philippine companies that made it to TIME and Statista’s World’s Best Companies 2025, ranking 210th.

Ayala, one of the country’s oldest conglomerates with nearly 200 years of history, owns business units such as Ayala Land, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Globe Telecom, ACEN, and GCash.

The conglomerate improved its standing from 273rd in 2024 and 309th in 2023.

Other Philippine firms on the list include Security Bank (369th), SM Investments (407th), Jollibee Foods Corp (685th), Union Bank of the Philippines (764th), and International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (828th).

China Bank (882nd), JG Summit Holdings (949th), Robinsons Retail Holdings (962nd), and Filinvest Development (995th) also made it to the list.

American tech giants Nvidia and Microsoft topped the rankings, while Apple fell off due to revenue decline between 2022 and 2024.

The World’s Best Companies list is based on three key factors: employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability transparency.

BPI’s 45-STORY TOWER SET TO REDEFINE MAKATI SKYLINE

The Bank of the Philippine Islands’ (BPI) 45-story headquarters is slated for completion in late 2029 and opening in 2030 in Makati’s central business district.

The P13.6-billion mixed-use tower will rise on a 5,599-square-meter lot and span 89,000 square meters of floor area, housing BPI’s main offices and branch, retail and event spaces, landscaped areas, and seven basement parking levels.

Co-developed with Ayala Land Inc., the project is designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill with Aidea Philippines as architect-of-record. The glass-clad building will connect civic spaces to Makati’s elevated and underground walkways.

Aiming for EDGE, LEED, and WELL certifications, the tower will feature energy-efficient systems and sustainable design, generating about 1,800 jobs during construction.
