🇵🇭 All jobs are not created equal, and all needles and nozzles are not created for all jobs. When you're prepping your paint job, consider the needle and nozzle size you'll need based on your material, your spray gun, and the high-quality result you're looking for.
As a general guide, look at these points:
- Heavy-bodied primers and primer surfacers work best when you use a nozzle size of 1.7 to 2.2.
- Basecoats should be sprayed with a 1.4 to 1.6 nozzle.
- Clearcoats should be sprayed with a 1.2 to 1.4 nozzle.
- Sealers and single-stage urethanes should be sprayed with 1.4 to 1.6 nozzles.
