PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT TO ASPIRING CAR CONTENT CREATORS: 😂
If your strategy to gain followers is to attack car dealers and throw accusations left and right, at least do your homework first.
A scanner is a diagnostic tool—not a crystal ball. Just because you see different mileage readings or ranges in different modules doesn't automatically mean “TAMPERED MILEAGE!”
Before making a big accusation for the sake of content, maybe learn how to properly operate the scanner and understand what you're actually looking at.
Otherwise, you might think you've exposed a “tampered” car when, in reality, you've only exposed your lack of understanding. 🤭
And please, don't create unnecessary trouble for people who are simply trying to make an honest living through legitimate car transactions.
DISCLAIMER: This is NOT our unit. The vehicle was only brought to our attention by a friend who is also a car dealer. South Auto Group PH did not own, sell, or represent this vehicle.
Competition is perfectly fine. Content creation is perfectly fine. Calling out legitimate issues is perfectly fine—when you have actual evidence.
But if you're going to accuse someone publicly, make sure your facts are stronger than your confidence.
Learn the scanner. Understand the data. Verify the facts. Then make your content.
Because nobody wants to follow a “car expert” whose biggest achievement is confidently being wrong. 😂
The 0–65,536 km shown under “Standard Range” is simply the ECU/scanner’s parameter range, not the vehicle’s actual mileage. The actual recorded value is 0 km, meaning there was no recorded distance while the MIL/check-engine light was activated. This reading is not an indication that the odometer was tampered with.
