π¨ PUBLIC WARNING: KEEP OUR SANDBARS CLEAN π¨
The City Government of Escalante, through the City Tourism Office, strongly condemns the improper disposal of garbage in our sandbars and coastal areas.
Our sandbars are among the natural treasures of Escalante. They are not dumping grounds and should never be treated as such.
Guests, residents, boat operators, vendors, and all individuals using our coastal areas are reminded to:
β DO NOT leave garbage on the sandbars.
β DO NOT throw waste into the sea or along the shoreline.
β DO NOT leave bottles, food containers, plastics, and other waste behind.
β
BRING YOUR GARBAGE WITH YOU.
β
USE PROPER WASTE DISPOSAL FACILITIES.
β
LEAVE NO TRACE.
Those found violating existing environmental and local ordinances may be subject to the corresponding penalties and other appropriate enforcement measures. The City Government will continue to monitor our coastal areas and take necessary action against improper waste disposal.
We appeal to everyone to help protect what belongs to all of us.
Let us not allow irresponsible individuals to destroy the beauty of our sandbars and the environment that we proudly share with our community and visitors.
KEEP ESCALANTE CLEAN. PROTECT OUR SANDBARS. RESPECT OUR ENVIRONMENT.
