BAGO ANG PINTURA? HUWAG MUNANG I-CERAMIC COATING O PPF. 🚘🎨
Kapag bagong repaint ang sasakyan, kahit tuyo na sa hawak at makintab na ang surface, hindi ibig sabihin fully cured at fully hardened na ang paint system. Sa ilalim ng clear coat, nagpapatuloy pa ang chemical curing at pag-release ng natitirang solvents. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit mas malambot at mas sensitive pa ang bagong pintura sa unang mga linggo at buwan.
Sa RECKS RESTORATION AUTO CARE CENTER, conservative ang aming recommendation: allow approximately 4–5 months of curing before applying ceramic coating, PPF, wax, sealant, or other long-term surface protection, unless the specific paint manufacturer or refinishing system provides a different approved curing period. Ang actual curing time ay puwedeng maapektuhan ng klase ng pintura at clear coat, kapal ng application, temperature, humidity, weather, drying method, at repair process.
IMPORTANT CARE GUIDE AFTER REPAINT:
First 7–14 days: hangga't maaari, huwag muna mag-car wash. Kung kailangan talagang linisin, consult us first.
Pag puwede nang hugasan, gentle hand wash only gamit ang mild/pH-neutral car shampoo, clean microfiber mitt at microfiber towel.
Iwasan muna ang automatic brush car wash, aggressive pressure washing, harsh chemicals, rubbing compound at abrasive polishing.
Huwag muna gumamit ng wax, glaze, paint sealant, ceramic coating, graphene coating o PPF habang nagcu-cure pa ang repaint.
Iwasan ang matagal na exposure sa extreme heat kung possible. Mas okay ang shaded or covered parking na may maayos na airflow.
Huwag takpan nang matagal gamit ang masikip o non-breathable car cover, lalo na kapag basa o may moisture ang sasakyan.
Kapag may bird droppings, tree sap, insects, fuel or chemical contamination, linisin agad nang maingat. Huwag hayaang matuyo o kumapit nang matagal.
Huwag kuskusin ang tuyong alikabok. Mas madaling magasgas ang bagong clear coat habang hindi pa fully hardened.
BAKIT HINDI AGAD CERAMIC COATING O PPF?
Ang tinatawag nating “paint needs to breathe” simply means na kailangan munang matapos nang maayos ang curing at solvent release ng refinished paint. Kapag masyadong maagang nilagyan ng permanent or semi-permanent protection, maaaring maapektuhan ang curing process depende sa paint system.
Sa under-cured repaint, puwedeng tumaas ang risk ng hazing, solvent-related defects, surface marking/imprinting, adhesion problems, bubbling/blister-like defects, o premature paint failure. Sa PPF naman, ang adhesive na inilagay sa hindi pa fully hardened na repaint ay maaari ring magdulot ng adhesion issues o paint lifting risk, lalo na kapag tinanggal ang film later.
Hindi ibig sabihin na automatic magkakaroon ng blistering o delamination kapag may ceramic coating. Maraming factors ang maaaring mag-cause nito—including paint preparation, moisture, substrate condition, application at curing environment.
Kaya ang safest approach namin ay huwag i-seal ang bagong repaint nang masyadong maaga.
BAKIT 4–5 MONTHS ANG RECOMMENDATION NAMIN?
Maraming refinishing systems ang maaaring mag-cure nang mas maaga, often within several weeks to a few months, pero dahil sa mainit at humid na climate, weather changes, thickness ng refinishing work at differences sa paint systems, we prefer a more conservative waiting period before applying long-term protection. Ang goal namin ay hindi lang maging makintab ang sasakyan pag-release gusto naming magkaroon ito ng properly hardened, durable at long-lasting finish.
⚠️ This advice is specifically for vehicles/panels that have been newly REPAINTED or REFINISHED.
Iba ito sa brand-new factory paint na dumaan na sa controlled factory baking and curing process.
After the recommended curing period, puwede nang bumalik sa RECKS for paint inspection. Kapag confirmed na properly cured at ready na ang surface, saka natin recommended gawin ang final paint correction/polishing if needed, followed by Ceramic/Graphene Coating or Paint Protection Film (PPF).

Dry to the touch ≠ Fully cured.
Shiny ≠ Fully hardened.
