We’ve been using our Sun corporate number for over 10 years, and when Sun merged with Smart, we thought the transition would be simple. Turns out, it wasn’t....Instead of automatically moving our number to Smart, we had to go through a long process of emails and calls just to get it done.

Since every two years we had the option to renew our plan (and usually got a free phone with it), we decided last September to start the process. But after endless forms and no progress, we gave up and decided to stop the plan entirely and convert the number to prepaid instead.

We were asked to pay all balances first, which we did right away. After that, we emailed them to proceed, but there was no response for days. Finally, we got a call from Smart saying the request was processed. They told us there might be some downtime or signal issues during the switch, but it would only take 4 hours.

Well, it’s been 4 days, and there’s still no signal. This number is important for our business, as this number is linked to our GCash account, and all our payment transactions are now pending.. What’s worse is how hard it is to get proper updates or help from them.

We just can’t understand why such a big company can’t make this process smoother for their customers. Smart, ano na????
