Our Story

The first green automotive dealership in the Visayas and the sixth under Hyundai Cebu, Inc. (HCI), Hyundai South Cebu opened its doors to the public in a showroom inauguration last June 10, 2016 to welcome the newest member of its growing family following the success of Hyundai Cagayan de Oro, Dumaguete, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, and Hyundai Cebu North.

A ceremonial cutting of the ribbon formally launched its 6,500 square meter showroom, the largest in the entire Hyundai dealer network in the country to date.

Hyundai South Cebu President and CEO Edward Onglatco saw how rapidly the Cebu automotive market exponentially grew over the past decade and a half. With the continuously growing local economy and bustling city life, the automotive market showed no signs of slowing down.

“We knew then that we had to be the first to provide industry-leading, world-class, environment—friendly, and customer-centric facilities to our clients and potential clients on this side of Cebu. We had to prove to the Cebuanos that we are ready to grow with their growth,” Onglatco said.
