Honda XRM “3nity/Trinity” generation was introduced in the Philippines in 2010. “Trinity” referred to three XRM125 choices—Dual Sport, Motard, and Off-road—rather than to one single “Trinity Edition.” ([Philstar.com][1])

For the comparison below, I’m treating your 2007–2009/early-2010 XRM125** as the earlier XRM125 Dual Sport and your **2010–2013-era XRM125 3nity as the later generation. Honda substantially updated the range again in late 2013, and later models should be treated separately. ([SunStar Publishing Inc.][2])

| Feature | XRM125 Dual Sport — earlier generation | XRM125 “3nity” generation |
| ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Philippine introduction | **2007** | **2010** |
| Basic concept | Rugged on/off-road underbone | Same XRM concept, but offered in **3 distinct personalities** |
| Engine | 125 cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled OHC | 125 cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled |
| Fuel system | **Carburetor** | **Carburetor** on this generation |
| Transmission | 4-speed | 4-speed; Dual Sport was semi-automatic |
| Starting | Electric + kick | Electric + kick depending on variant |
| Front brake | Disc | Disc |
| Rear brake | Drum on Dual Sport | Dual Sport: drum; Motard/Off-road configurations differed |
| Wheels | **Spoke wheels** | Dual Sport/Off-road emphasized rugged wheels; Motard used **alloy wheels** |
| Styling | Simpler, traditional XRM styling | More modern/sporty, with **CRF-inspired side panels**, larger headlight cover and redesigned tail |
| Character | Simple, rugged utility bike | More specialized: Dual Sport, Motard or Off-road |
| Best suited to | Daily work, provincial roads, rough-road use | Depends on variant—Dual Sport for versatility, Motard for pavement/style, Off-road for more adventure-oriented riding |

The earlier carbureted XRM125 Dual Sport specification commonly listed in the Philippines includes **124.8 cc displacement, 9.4 PS at 7,500 rpm, 10.4 Nm at 5,000 rpm, 4-speed transmission, telescopic front/twin rear suspension, spoke wheels, front disc/rear drum brakes, 3.8-L tank and 99-kg dry weight**. ([THM Philippines][3])

What really changed with the 3nity?

The biggest difference wasn't a dramatic increase in engine size or outright performance. Honda took the proven 125cc XRM platform and divided it into three personalities**: the practical **Dual Sport**, street-oriented **Motard**, and more adventure-focused **Off-road**. Honda also gave the generation sportier CRF-inspired panels, a bigger headlight cover, revised rear styling and other cosmetic/functional differences. ([Philstar.com][1])

For rough provincial and mountain roads, the **older XRM125 Dual Sport and 3nity Dual Sport are mechanically much closer than their appearance suggests**. The older model's appeal is its simple, rugged, carbureted construction; the 3nity generation primarily brought newer styling and greater choice of configuration rather than transforming the basic XRM formula.

One more useful distinction when shopping for used XRMs: **don't confuse the 2010 3nity with the late-2013 redesign or the later PGM-FI models.** Honda replaced the 3nity Off-road variant with the **Dual Sport Extreme (DSX)** in the 2013 update, while fuel injection arrived later.
