After a long wait for some parts to be done we finally had time to put the engine back together today..
After making a decent 7.24hp with just our custom variator, we got bored.. being used to racebikes and crazy builds from the past we knew this was coming..
The all stock form made 4.9hp by the way.
So after some planning here's what we ended up doing.
We added a 63mm block to amp up the displacement from 125cc to 183cc. The head has had some extensive stuff done to it as well.. we'll be sharing it to the public should we make good power. To support the block and head mods a custom camshaft was also made for this engine.
Since adding a bigger block ment the engine would also be needing more air.. we decided to change the throttlebody as well in which we had to make a custom downdraft manifold for better flow and make sure the engine gets plenty of air.
Adding more air also ment that the engine will be needing more fuel. So we installed a higher CC injector to supply us with fresh petron blaze which will be used for the scoot.
We will still be running our modified stock variator kit (pulley and df). This time we added a speedevo torque drive for improved power delivery, but to make sure that all the power stick we also made modifications to the stock bell to make sure the power gets transfered to the rear wheel.
All these upgrades would be useless without the proper engine management.. so we opted to change the ecu with a fully programable one.. we will be using an Aracer rc mini X for this set up.
With a bit of work still needed we hope we can have the bike running by the weekend. Given that we get to spend time on it again..😅
So stay tuned for more. Im sure this bike will be getting more upgrades in the future.
