The Minimax Series of the RMC Philippines has always been a steppingstone for many talented drivers to make the move up to faster engines moving forward. Requiring the same amount of throttle control and setup knowledge of its 125cc big kart sibling, our youngest member Asher Leyco showed great maturity when dicing with his older competitors in the Minimax Expert Category with Asher always fighting for the top 3 spots consistently throughout the whole weekend even bringing home 4 podium finishes including one 2nd place finish in Round 4!

In the 3 seasons that the JGM Racing Team has competed, we have never seen a race as hectic, intense, unpredictable and exciting as this one! When I say that no team member finished this race without praying, screaming and cheering, I mean it. After a challenging Saturday and even Sunday morning where electrical issues and an injured arm hampered progress, Matteo had to do all the hard work in the final. Starting all the way in last place, Matteo climbed up 4 places by the end of lap 1 alone and with 6 laps to go, he was all the way up to P4 after overtaking 9 other drivers. With the fight for the lead getting ever more intense with battles every lap for every bit of track position, Matteo was at the right places at the right time. At one point, the race lead was already in reach but after a great last lap battle, P3 was where he brought the kart home, a full 10 places above where he started in addition to grabbing yet another Senior Clubman Champion trophy. Once again, congratulations and what a drive, Matteo!
