Regional Driverโs Education Center Conducts Defensive Driving Seminar for DepEd Personnel in San Pablo City
In line with the continuing road safety advocacy of the Land Transportation Office (LTO), the Regional Driverโs Education Center (RDEC) Alaminos successfully conducted a Defensive Driving Seminar for personnel of the Department of Education (DepEd) at San Miguel Elementary School, San Pablo City, Laguna.
The activity was undertaken pursuant to the directives of LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Marcus M. Lacanilao, under the leadership of LTO Region IV-A Regional Director Elmer J. Decena and Officer-in-Charge Assistant Regional Director Maria Victoria Margarita Arrellano, and with the support of San Pablo District Office Chief Simon Martin C. Barachina. The seminar served as an avenue to strengthen participantsโ understanding of road safety principles, traffic regulations, and responsible driving practices.
The seminar was facilitated by Melquiadez T. Aguirre and Melvin M. Maralit, who also served as the resource speakers for the activity. Through their presentations and interactive discussions, participants were provided with essential knowledge and practical defensive driving techniques focused on hazard recognition, risk assessment, accident prevention, and proper decision-making while on the road. The discussions highlighted the importance of discipline, vigilance, and compliance with traffic laws in ensuring the safety of all road users.
The activity concluded with the presentation of Certificates of Recognition to the resource speakers and facilitators in appreciation of their valuable contribution to the success of the seminar. The event likewise reinforced the partnership between the LTO and DepEd in promoting road safety awareness and fostering a culture of responsibility among motorists and future road users.
