To all Friends, Family, and Relatives who have responded with 'likes' since the creation of our page, we take this time to say thank you to all. We also extend our special thanks to Mr. Guy Oala Willie for his support and encouragement in helping to get this little project off the ground.
As you know, we are 'temporarily closed' due to issues well beyond our control, and racing with time to resolve, to enable the commencement of our first ever rebuild/mod project per schedule.
Due to the temp closure, we did not plan any immediate promo ads or posts, etc until the end of the year. However, we decided at the last minute to prepare this post, a one-off, for two (2) reasons. Firstly, the blue offroad beast seen on my page cover is not a build by Hiri 4wd and not in pom as some of you may think. It was posted to give you an idea of similar looks and results we expect to see once we complete our first project. I hope that clears the air.
We plan to document the entire portal axle strip-down and rebuild/mod process and posting weekly progressive video updates until completion after 3 weeks. We think it will be a great series as this type of build is rare in Png.
The second reason is more of a promotion, but for a worthy cause. Hiri Marine will engage mostly in door-to-door sales of its products by bringing its service directly into the motukoita and central villages along the coastline.
We would like to promote as part of our caravan sales activity the message about "Safety at Sea", and look forward to the partnership with local Ward leaders, MPs to purchase and distribute items such as life and rescue jackets, flares, emergency bucket kits, first aid kits, etc to our people.
Despite the loss of many lives at sea since independence, sadly, very little or nothing has been done physically to address this issue. We only get to see this safety emergency equipment in the dockyard or RPYC marina. Fact is, while 99.5% of dinghies are found in our villages, we will find them usually without any safety equipment, putting the lives of our people at risk when out at sea. The local Marine product sales market is largely foreign-dominated and profit-focused with less intent for service. For so long our people have had no choice but to painfully cope with controlled high prices.
Please join Hiri Marine and friends of friends, and by word of mouth, to help promote, as part of this awareness, the need, and importance for "Safety at Sea"
Hope you enjoyed the read and continue to watch this space for more Motukoita and Hiri Province, 4wd and Marine videos, and news soon. 😀 See you then.
