This Boxing Day is the Cemetery Circuit’s 75th, and it’s about more than the racing. The vintage display will bring together bikes from every era that’s raced these streets, including the original Suzuki RG500 American legend Pat Hennen raced here in the ’70s. And for the first time in over 10 years, the Britten returns to the streets for display and laps.

🏍️ THE BRITTEN RETURNS 🏍️

For the first time in over 10 years, the legendary Britten is coming back to our streets.

As part of the Cemetery Circuit's 75th anniversary celebrations, the Britten will be on display and heading out for parade laps at the Suzuki International Series finale in Whanganui this Boxing Day.

This is one of the most celebrated motorcycles ever made in the world, and still one of the most talked-about machines in road racing. Seeing it out on the streets again is a rare moment, and there was no better occasion than 75 years of the Cemetery Circuit.

We are saddened to hear of the loss of one of Cemetery Circuit’s original legends, Ginger Molloy.
Not only was Ginger a hugely successful rider internationally, but he was always right at home and at the front on the streets of Cemetery Circuit, enjoying multiple race wins including feature wins in 1968 and 1971.
We were privileged to have Ginger race here and our thoughts and wishes go to Ginger’s family and close friends.
RIP Ginger, race on.
