Facebook reminds us that Buzzy was launched this time last year! It has been a wonderful business year - without our supporters we are nothing so a HUGE thanks to you all and to each and every customer! Not one complaint all year - and lots of repeat business! Thank you!

From all accounts the Elton John concert in Wellington was a sensation! We had three cars out with Elton's concertgoers - the closest had come from Nelson, another couple came from Katikati, but the prize for travelling furthest must go to these two gentlemen, Philippe and Teva. They travelled all the way from Tahiti to Wellington, to see Elton John (and of course to experience Buzzy Rental Cars!). They arrived Thursday, tried Martinborough pinot noir on Friday, went to see Elton John on Saturday, went home Sunday.

This is a photo of Michelle and George - a lovely couple, who hired a Buzzy Rental Car and had a jolly good time, including walking the Tongariro Crossing. We are getting so many US tourists now. Anyway, the link here is to the Andy Griffiths Show! George comes from a town called Looneyville! It used to be called Tariff (which is a pretty silly name too) in West Virginia. George tells me that Looneyville is just like the setting on the Andy Griffiths Show. Why does that not surprise me?

What is so interesting about this horrible old Daihatsu. It is not a rental car! It was parked in front of me at the traffic lights in Newtown, Wellington. It is a blast from my past ... the number plate surround is Refreshingly Rangiora - a product of my time looking after the marketing and promotions of that Canterbury town. It would be great to see Rangiora folk coming to Wellington to enjoy our great city and to use a Buzzy rental car to get around in.

Buzzy Rental Cars has already taken rental vehicles to several of the cruise ships that have been in port in Wellington so far this cruise season - sometimes, two per cruise ship. But here is one that is just a little different - last weekend we had HMNZS 'Canterbury' in port and they needed a minibus for the three-day duration of their stay. They were a pleasure to deal with.
