An unknown Auto sparky installed this PIR sensor in a Ford Ranger. It did not work!

What was wrong?

1: He had wired it up incorrectly so it's did not trigger the factory alarm even if it detected motion.

2: The location of the sensor was poor. It has a very limited viewing angle so did not cover the whole canopy.

3: It clearly was not tested after being installed.

My advice it to get an expert to do the work and have them explain and demo how the system works before you pay them!
