Manaia RC Raceway

12/10/2026

Afternoon team.

Starting to ramp up with outdoors now. We have Raukawa kicking off this Sunday which is always a good time so get your entries in if you want some great racing.

I called into the Gather market at solway Showgrounds on Saturday which is right next to our track. It was a special day where kids were running stalls along with the adult regulars. Spenser and Charlie Croad were both running RC stalls that included a crawler course and Slash hire on our racetrack. From what I saw they were getting heaps of interest and participants so well done boys we might have to copy your business model and run an open day one Saturday.

Things we have coming up are our club champs 1st of November and our round of Super5 on 14th November. Both events open for entries on NZRCA.

Alrighty then folks that’s all, see you at practice tomorrow from 4.30pm. Track is in fine form so come rip some laps.

Matt.

Last of the secondary roll being completed, track surface is looking really nice. Big thanks to Chris for all his work. Can’t wait for our club champs and super 5 round coming soon.

Practice tomorrow, Tuesday from 4pm.

See you there

Hey team
Unfortunately we weren’t able to get the track rolled today so no practice tomorrow. Think we best give it the week to settle and start practicing as of next Tuesday.

Cheers
Matt.

Thank you very much to all the helpers who showed up today to help get our track ship-shape for the coming season.

We are getting some rain tomorrow which will help bed the new surface in and then when it’s dry enough Chris will be giving the track a wheel pack with the ride-on as the surface is quite soft still so we will update you all on wether or not we are go for Tuesday practice but we may need to allow another week for it to settle down properly otherwise we will undo all our hard work if we drive on it before it is ready.

Anyway have a great weekend and enjoy this little edit that my son Ryan put together for us.

Cheers
Matt.

Track has been turned over ready for raking and rolling tomorrow plus some jump work and the trenches we dug for the new water lines have sunk so we might top those up also.

10am start see you there.

Hey team
Planning to have a bit of a working bee at the track on Saturday, weather permitting. Will be freshening up jumps, moving some dirt around and resurfacing the track. Bring ya rakes and spades, maybe a wheelbarrow or two and we will get it done. Will look at getting started 9.30-10am.

Have a good week
Matt.
