🚨 This Routine Warrant of Fitness Inspection Has Prevented a Serious Accident 🚨

This motorhome came into Bridgestone Tyre Centre Upper Hutt for its routine Warrant of Fitness inspection, and we're very glad it did.

During our inspection, we found two major safety issues:

🔴 Broken Rear Main Leaf Spring
The main leaf spring had broken, leaving only a small 10mm retaining clamp at the front that held the leaf springs that attached to the body mount and the main one keep the diff located in place. A failure like this can seriously affect the vehicle's stability and handling, especially on a large motorhome, increasing the risk of losing control.

Next one was

🔴 Split Brake Hoses
We also discovered badly split brake hoses. Over time, damaged brake hoses can fail, resulting in a loss of brake fluid and significantly reducing braking performance—or even causing brake failure.

✅ A Warrant of Fitness isn't just about meeting legal requirements—it's about protecting you, your passengers, and everyone else on the road.
