Factory performance is great... but there's always room for improvement. 👌

This Audi SQ5 came in for a **Stage 1 Tune, EGR Solution and DPF Solution**, transforming the way it drives while eliminating the common headaches that come with restrictive emissions systems.

This Moxy MT31 arrived with an ongoing engine performance issue that had already proven difficult to diagnose.

The biggest challenge?

❌ No reliable communication with the engine management system.

Without ECU communication, you're effectively diagnosing blind.

Using advanced diagnostic techniques and direct ECU access procedures, we were able to establish communication with the engine control system, retrieve the required data and carry out in-depth fault finding.

Poor old Tritons cop a hiding online.

Every second comment section has a bloke who's never owned one telling everyone why they're no good.

Meanwhile the actual owners are out there quietly towing boats, dragging trailers, crossing paddocks and racking up hundreds of thousands of k's with bu**er all fuss.

This 2017 Triton came in for our Stage 1 package and EGR solution.

🔥 178hp → 210hp
🔥 400Nm → 460Nm

The owner wasn't chasing race car numbers.

Just more grunt where it counts.

Better towing.
Better drivability.

You know a vehicle's earned its keep when it's got a layer of South Island dust on it and a rooftop tent that's seen more adventures than most people. 😎

This 2011 Volkswagen Touareg stopped in for our Stage 1 Tune + EGR Solution and left with a healthy bump in performance:

🚀 240hp ➜ 290hp (+50hp)
💪 550Nm ➜ 620Nm (+70Nm)

Plenty more torque down low, smoother power delivery, and a much nicer vehicle to drive whether it's towing, touring, or just clocking up kilometres around NZ.

No oversized exhaust.
No smoke show.
No silly numbers.

Just a properly calibrated tune that makes the most of what's already there.

At this point we're starting to think this bloke buys vehicles just so he can bring them back for another tune... 😂

This 2020 Hino 300 is now vehicle number FOUR we've tuned for him.

After the previous three, we reckon he already knew how this story was going to end.

You can always spot the Hilux owners in the Mitre 10 carpark 😅 ourselves included 🤣

✔ Snorkel taller than the roof
✔ Mud tyres humming louder than the radio
✔ Bullbar capable of moving livestock
✔ Full tray setup
✔ 14 iced coffees in the cup holders
✔ Enough recovery gear to rescue a logging truck
✔ Still somehow carrying a Red Band gumboot full of cable ties behind the seat

Owner reckoned he was sick of his mate’s 2020 D-Max sneaking past him on the open road… 🤬

Plus he wanted the thing to actually hold 6th gear without dropping back every time it saw a hill or saw a headwind.

So this one got our hot cake special:
