The guys at Hydra-Care NZ based in Thames have done an awesome conversion of this CAT 312C. TMD supplied customised finaldrives rated for the extra weight and torque required to make this excavator go where others can't.

We are continuing to prototype and test our customised finaldrive attachment for auger and stump planing attachments.
Our high torque gearbox has enabled us to make a universal vertical drive with enough grunt to plane stubborn stumps as well as boring post holes.

Extensive testing on a variety of different trees has proven successful on a Yanmar VIO25-6 but the goal is to get the same performance as what you see here, on a smaller excavator.

We're on the hunt for someone with a late model mini digger in the Bay of Plenty or Waikato region that we could fit this attachment on to for testing.
